A Little Hope Cottage History
Established in 1996, the shelter has since been a source of hope for survivors of domestic violence. The name Hope Cottage was given in 1998. Originally the shelter was in a building donated by a church. In 2010, a wonderful local family wanted to donate their late mother’s house for use as a shelter. In 2022, under the supervision of the board of directors, Hope Cottage was remodeled. New kitchen countertops and flooring were added. The outdated appliances were replaced. Other updates like attic insulation and paint were added as well.
