Hope Restored is a thrift shop we operate at 1211 E Race in Searcy.  Proceeds support our work against domestic violence.

Hope Restored is committed to providing high quality merchandise at affordable prices. Getting to know our customers and meeting their needs are goals of utmost importance. The most frequent comments given by customers are: “the staff and volunteers are so friendly and helpful,” “I love this store,” and “prices are very good.”

Special sales are held each week, with some fun activities such as scavenger hunts, drawing for a discount, $5 bag sale, and National Fortune Cookie Day with free cookies to every customer as well as a discount on purchases for the day.

Hope Restored is an important part of our sustainability plan to help the survivors and prevent domestic violence.The purpose of Hope Restored is to:

• Providing clothing, shoes, housewares, and other necessities at no charge, at the direction of the Executive Director or Shelter Manager;
• Selling donated items not immediately needed by survivors to provide funding to Hope Cottage;
• Providing information about domestic abuse to anyone who asks, and providing information and a referral to Hope Hotline/Hope Cottage;
• Assisting with community education by providing an area for awareness displays.

Hope Restored provides a central, accessible location for donors to contribute to the work of Hope Cottage, with both in-kind and monetary donations. Hope Restored, a strong community voice for survivors, provides educational and awareness resources in the store and on Facebook. Awareness activities for the general public occur regularly in the store. Types of domestic violence, domestic violence facts, and ways for all segments of our community to help is provided. A poster to honor those who have died in Arkansas due to domestic violence is on display every day at Hope Restored.

Our commitment and service to Searcy is stronger than ever. We have a mutual mission of helping our fellow citizens. Hope Restored also partners with other non-profit agencies through referrals and cooperation to help meet the needs of everyone in our community. Searcy is better because of Hope Restored and Hope Restored is better because of our donors, customers, volunteers, and staff.
